Lido - Genève

The location is great, just a 5-10min walk down to the lake and right in the centre of town. The rooms were a good size and comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful (particularly Sebastian) and the included breakfasts fresh and tasty. Would recommend.

The hotel is extremely clean, tidy and well kept. The staff are efficient and friendly. It is exceptionally good value for money. I have stayed in other "basic" hotels in Geneva and this one is the best. The bathroom was new and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Furniture/design is basic but well thought out and functional. Window looked out to a treed area behind the hotel, which was lovely.

I felt uncomfortable sleeping with the window open so the room got quite stuffy through the night - no air conditioning - but I know that is standard for cheaper hotels in Europe.

Friendliness of staff. Location. The hotel had all the facilities I need for 2 day visit to London.

The WiFi was not free.

Staff were wonderful, very obliging and spoke very good English. Lovely room, spacious enough for just one but would be cramped for more than one with large suitcases. The location was brilliant for a middle budget traveller. Only a block from the main train station and a couple of blocks to the bus terminal. Also only two blocks to the lake, with many different restaurants very nearby. Would defiinitely stay there again.

Was particularly hot while I was in Geneva, and having the window open meant a lot of street noise. It also seems the European way to only have a very warm doona and no top sheet. Great when it's cold!

The hotel is nice and comfortable, with a familiar feeling. Even if the room was small it had everything that s , and the bed was very confortable.. The breakfast was ok, and the nice personell of the hotel takes it to your room without extra cost. Location is excellent.

Location - Very close to the main train station

Room was advertised and charged as a "Triple Room" but turned out to be a Twin Room with a sofa bed in the corner where only a child or a dwarf could sleep in. This is incredibly misleading, at the very best it would be a "Twin Room + Extra bed", it wasn't a Triple Room although we have paid dearer for it. Breakfast poor, room comfort barely passable.

How professional and willing to help the hotel staff was. They spoke perfect Englisht and gave me advice on everything I asked.

Poor breakfest, internet is not for free.

Great central location, receptionists were friendly and helpful.

The position was excellent, between the Station and City Centre. There were lots of great restaurants in the vicinity. The area was pedestrian friendly. The hotel was small and aged, but clean and friendly.

The room and facilities were basic. The Hotel was on a busy noisy road. The single window was double glazed and kept the room quiet, however there was no a/c so that the room got hot when the window was closed.

Very good location to city center -- close to shopping and eats. The room we had fit three people -- two on a double and one twin/single. It was a courtyard room -- excellent!! Great, lovely view of the old building, greenery on the balconies (yes, you can go out on your balcony), no noise from the street -- nice and quiet!

Decor is dated, but who cares? Bathroom was updated, but could not figure out how to turn on the fan, if there was one. Bidet included. Beds were a little flat/not cushy.

I like the location of the hotel. Also the staff of the hotel are friendly. The room is large enough

Nice location close to railway station

1) Too little seats for breakfast so that guests sometimes form a queue to wait till somebody finishes with the breakfast. There is no place where to wait, so.... 2) price is obviously too high, but this is not a problem of the hotel, just of Switzerland and Geneva in particular. In any case I think they should waive 10CHF they currently charge for wifi - that in comparison with high daily rate looks stupid.

My room was silent.

That breakfast was cleaned up at 10 am.
